Welcome to The Grove!

Hi! My name is Quinn and I am the owner and founder of Dirty Druid Soap Co. I am so happy to welcome you all to our community The Grove.

I wanted to start The Grove to converse with everyone about products that Dirty Druid Soap Co. is producing, what you would all like to see and how we are doing our part in being an eco-friendly company.

Why?

Dirty Druid Soap Co. came to me when I was nearing the end of my second trimester with my daughter. I’m 5’2 and was so big that I couldn’t walk for more than five minutes without being in immense pain. I tried finding activities that would keep me occupied and that I could do with out to much activity. I learned how to knit and although I do like it (for down time) some of the patterns were hard for me to follow and now instead of hip pain I had wrist pain (of course, right?). I started looking for other mediums and came across making my own soap. I thought this would be a fantastic idea as I have very sensitive skin and with my own soap, I know what goes into it. I started by sitting in front of my stove on a stool, sometimes when my pregnancy insomnia was keeping me up, I would make soap all night until 7 in the morning. Once I started it was like I was addicted, I made so many different kinds of soaps and couldn’t stop. The more I made soap the more I wanted to try and make other products. I started making bath bombs, lotion bars and I am currently in the works of perfecting my body wash recipes.

Why the name Dirty Druid?

My company name is connected to my pagan upbringing. Where I learned the benefits of gardening, herbalism, aromatherapy and respecting the natural world around us. Druids encompass all of these things including the recognition of the divinity of nature.

Being raised Pagan, I am deeply aware of the natural world and see the power in the ongoing cycle of life and death. My Company core Values/Principles are based on these concepts and that also incorporated that we are a soap, bath and body products company. After many scratched out names, I finally decided on Dirty Druid Soap Co. Dirty Druid Soap Co.’s mission is to make all products 100% natural and have recyclable packaging, so that nature can continue to flourish as it is meant to.

I love being able to share all these products with you along my journey in creating a skin-safe and environmentally friendly company. I’m excited to share this journey with you all and look forward to getting to know all of your journey’s as well.

I make all of my products with caring intention and want everyone no matter how sensitive their skin is to be able to enjoy Dirty Druid Soap Co products at the beginning, middle and end of their day.
